Dachshund puppies will be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old. Puppies will be up to date on all vaccinations, and deworming. Our Dachshund puppies will come with a full health exam done by our veterinarian and you will be provided with a copy. All puppies will be picked up in person, this will give us time to meet and go over everything about your new puppy. This means that pick up day will be between myself (the breeder) and you (the buyer) only! I can meet at any of our local airports ( within an hour from me for no extra charge.) Anything over 75 miles or 1 hour of drive time for me will be an extra charge. I'm excited to announce that we are now offering flight services to our families!
Pick up date is to be set by me (the breeder) and you my buyer. Puppy is ready to be picked up AT 8 weeks of age. If puppy is not picked up at 8 weeks there will be an additional fee of $25 per day. This will cover any additional food expenses, care, and training of your puppy. Any additional vet care/vaccinations needed will be owed on top of $25 per day. We can't stress enough how much we like our puppies to go home at 8 weeks when they are ready because we feel that it is great to start the bonding process
Our puppies will go home with a puppy bag to help him or her with the transition from my home to yours.
Included in our puppy bags are a collar, blanket, Nutri-source puppy food, puppy pads, poop bags, brush, nail trimmers, toothbrush, toys and treats that we currently use with them at our home, chew bones, dachshund book. I will also include a folder that has all of the puppies information in it from birth to current veterinarian exam, and lots of informational and fun forms as well. Also included with our puppies is health insurance for 30 days free to you!
We try to provide as much as possible for our puppies when they go into their new homes. We also know how fun it is to shop for your new puppy. Here are a list of items you will still need to provide for your puppy before it comes home with you.
•Every puppy will need a carrier to ride home in. If you are flying with your puppy you will need a soft crate that is airline approved.
•Nutri-Source Small Breed Puppy Food. (We recommend purchasing a bag of NutriSource and switching food at a later date if you choose to do so.)
•Crate
•Puppy Bed
•Leash
•Food & Water bowls
•Blanket
•Puppy pads
•Baby Gate if Needed
•X-pens are great for more room and play if you will be gone for an extended amount of time.
Bringing a new puppy home is just like bringing a baby home. It's so important to clean and prepare before the puppy comes home. Make sure everything edible is picked up off of the floors, put away harmful chemicals or cleaners laying around, any and all medicines are put away, electrical cords are unplugged and put up high so they can't be reached. Inspecting every outdoor area your puppy will be in is very important as well to make sure theres no poison or anything harmful he or she can eat. Checking to make sure your fencing and gates are secure and no holes are in fencing is so important for the safety of your new puppy! Please make sure to keep your puppy away from any dogs that are not fully vaccinated. The Parvo virus is highly infectious and deadly to your puppy if exposed to it. Your puppy will not be fully vaccinated till 16 weeks and even then it's recommended to wait another three weeks before introducing to other dogs and taking him or her places where other dogs have been
